Fiji and Physical Geography
Fiji is made up of 330 tiny islands alone. Fiji is built up of many luscious rain forests and waterfalls, not to mention they have a BUNCH of volcanoes. The ones that mostly attract tourists are Mount Tomanivi, Mount Uluigalau, Mount Manuka, and Mount Nasorolevu. Besides the fact of all the landforms, Fiji is also the home to many fish in their own coral reefs! What if you wanted to take a trip here? Where is it located? It is at 18 degrees South latitude and 175 degrees East longitude. For a general location it is between New Zealand and Australia. If you do take a trip here, you will not need a jacket. The climate is warm tropical and tropical marine. Now lets move on to the natural hazards. Well, if you did take a trip to Fiji be cautioned that there might be a chance for a flood or a typhoon (hurricane). Let us not forget about Fiji's vast wildlife! There are many animals in Fiji but let's only name a few; bats, frogs, whales, Kaka parrots, bob snake, and dolphins. There is also wildlife which includes Tahitian Gardenia, coconut palms, and heliconias. The size of Fiji is 7056 square miles. Now, where does Fiji's wealth come from? There are many natural resources such as timber, fish, gold, copper, offshore oil, and hydro-power. As you can see Fiji's physical geography is very interesting!
